A descriptive report for grades 1–3 requires pulling together a whole term of observations, and those are scattered across a notebook, a spreadsheet, the register and the teacher's memory. The result: evenings spent writing descriptions that are hard to back up with specifics. Two hard constraints came with it. First, this is children's data — the most sensitive category there is, with no room for security compromises. Second, teachers and head teachers do not trust tools that send information about pupils to an external language model, and they are right.

The heart of the app is a closed loop. The teacher records an observation during the lesson — one pupil at a time or the whole group on a single screen — on a four-level independence scale. The system lines the entries up over time, computes the skill level, the direction of change and the stability of the result, and explicitly flags where there is too little data. From the profile it generates a worksheet matched to that pupil, drawn from six domains and 29 task types, in two printable versions — one for the child and one with an answer key. A QR code on the sheet opens the results entry screen directly, and those results flow back into the profile as new observations. At the end of term the system assembles a draft descriptive report from paragraphs whose sources are visible, run through a quality check that hunts for diagnoses, comparisons and claims with no evidence behind them. The whole analysis runs on deterministic rules and sentence templates on a dedicated EU server — the same observation history always produces the same result.

Recording an observation takes a few taps during the lesson rather than an evening of copying notes. The draft report is built from data that traces back to specific entries, so the teacher reads and edits instead of writing from nothing. No pupil data ever leaves the EU server, and the school administrator manages accounts without being able to read observations. The app meets WCAG 2.2 AA and works the same on a classroom tablet as on a laptop at home.
